"Along with all the wonderful things about being a Grey Warden, you don't have to worry about dying of old age-- You have 30 years to live, give or take." -Alistair, DAO
Thellessan knew he was on borrowed time. He tried to find a cure for the taint, the calling, and failed. He got Twenty-five years after his joining to live. Now, he hears it. Every hero will get their calling, and this is his.
Zagreus learns about his mother, and at that moment he knows what to do. He is going to leave his emotionally abusive father, leave the adventuring guild, and find his mother. No matter the cost, he was going to escape. He would have the help of the guild of Olympus, but they didn’t know his true motives. Of course, fighting and fighting and losing and losing takes a great toll, and there is a wonder. If there really is no escape from a life of adventure and violence.
Feyrin Surana’s first harrowing was quite enough, thank you very much, so the dream from the sloth demon was just a little too much. Instead of the normal cannon dream, he dreams of what life might have been like if he hadn’t discovered his magic, and the blight didn’t come to Fereldan. It leaves him shaken up, and several party members take notice.
Or, basically, I didn’t like the default dream for the warden, and so I wrote three thousand words of self indulgent fanfic for my mage warden.
