Within The Cage, there was something that didn’t belong. A Fledgling, born of the Soul of Sam Winchester, and the Grace of Michael and Lucifer. Once upon a time Bella Swann believed in fate. She’d believed with all her heart.
Now she knows better.

Sam will never be able to explain to Dean everything that happened in the Cage, not just between him and Lucifer, but also him and Michael. When Chuck decides the best way to answer Dean's caustic prayers is to drop a depowered Michael fresh from the Cage on their doorstep as a means to counter the impending invasion from another universe's Michael gone crazy, Dean figures the Creator of All has finally lost his last few marbles.
Michael is well aware of the many difficulties facing his world and specifically this scattered ragtag family of humans, angels, and Nephilim, but before he can do anything else, he needs to win back his beloved. Apparently Sam was already several steps ahead of him on that.
