A Soulmate AU in which you are born with the initials of your soulmate marked on the nape of your neck. Easy enough, right? Except for two people who don't use their real names.

She hadn’t seen him in ten years, but she somehow doubted he could have changed all that much. To go to a ten-year reunion that all the underclassmen of his time had helped set up seemed like something Ben would avoid at all costs. He was in New York now, there was no need to fly halfway across the country to see a bunch of people that he never even liked.
A Modern AU of finding First Love and confronting it again when you thought you lost it.

“…There are ways to break force connections, Rey.” His speech was weak, and his throat was tight from the suggestion. “We can’t use that as an excuse to be selfish.”
“How is wanting to take care of your family by being with them selfish?” She darted out in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. She placed her hands on his shirt and sank into him. “What they are suggesting is insane.”
“As much as I would like to agree with you, and as much as I hate them for it… they aren’t wrong.” he brushed his lips against her hairline and lingered there, he felt his legs begin to shake and suddenly his knees gave out from underneath him, falling forward against her, and she was barely able to hold him up. “I don’t want to go,” he broke.
“I think… I think I have to.”

A (Rock)Star Wars AU
That's basically all you need to know.
Rey had walked about four blocks when a paper that was being carried by the wind caught around her leg. She tried shaking it off without a second thought until she realized what this paper was. It was a flier. She leaned down to study the information on the page. It was an advertisement. For a show. One night only. Starkiller.
Fate had a funny way of working.

"While I share your contempt for this situation in which we find ourselves, do not mistake it as apathy," he hissed through gritted teeth, dark eyes burning. "I hardly expect your disposition to sweeten, but I will be damned if I allow my future Empress to behave in a manner that reflects poorly on me and on the First Order!"
"If you allow?" She wrenched her arm out of his viselike grasp, batting his hand away for good measure. "I don't belong to you. I don't belong to anyone."
"That might have been the case back when you were a scavenger on that pitiful scrap heap of a planet, but now?" His sardonic gaze flickered over her silk robes and the jewels woven through her elaborate braids. "Now you are the Chume'da, and the Chume'da belongs to her people. Their fate is entirely in your hands. Should you cross the line, it is they who will suffer for it. Am I making myself clear?"
"I hate you," she said bitterly.
He sneered at her. "See? Already you are acclimatizing so well to married life."
