    Summary

"Oh." Ranboo tried to process what he was seeing, blinking a few times and looking around to see if there was anyone nearby. There was no one in the alley and none of the people passing by spared them a glance. "Buddy, do you have parents? Or someone to take care of you?"

He wasn't sure what to do, but he crouched down, adjusting the straps of his bookbag and reaching out his arms as a precautionary measure to make sure the kid didn't fall over as he walked around.

Immediately, the kid toddled directly to him, all but falling into his arms.

"That's not an answer." Despite himself, Ranboo chuckled.

    Or,

Ranboo finds a young kid in an alley on his way back home from a convention. And even though they were still a kid in every way but technically, they take him in and name him 'Micheal' and raise him in an apartment building full of family members and a city stocked with friends.

This is Ranboo learning to become a father (or a mother, if the baby calling him 'mama' was anything to go by) over the course of nine years, told in sixteen memories.

(sequel to one of my dadnoblade + ranson oneshots: 'as the years pass, in the apartment on the seventh floor')

    Summary

The boy standing in the mirror wasn’t Wilbur.

He blinked a few times, and the boy in the mirror did too. He lifted a hand, with the stranger doing the same. When he flipped the reflection off, the bony and bruised hand flipped him off in return.

“This isn’t me,” Wilbur whispered in the stranger’s voice, the reflection mouthing the words in time with him.

This wasn’t him and yet the reflection in the mirror was telling him it was. The boy had curly blonde hair that was styled similarly to Wilbur’s, except the fringe wasn’t nearly as long. Wide set blue eyes stared at him, and after a moment of being frozen, he squeezed them shut, wondering if his reflection would be back to normal when he opened them.

His eyes blinked open, and he saw he was still blonde and blue-eyed. Fuck.

or, Wilbur is bored of the monotony of his life in a small town, and wishes for a new life. Meanwhile, Tommy is tired of the isolation that comes with living in the city, and wonders what it would be like to have a closer family.

Neither one meant they wanted to start swapping bodies.

    Summary

Dream propped his elbow on one armrest and threw his legs over the other. “I’ve been hearing things, Philza,” Dream continued. “Whispers, mutterings, rumors… I’ve been hearing that there’s an Angel that is about to start making some ripples.”
“Ripples,” Phil repeated. “What do you mean by ripples?”
Dream swung his legs back down in front of him. He leaned forward to put his elbows on his knees. “I mean the prophetic kind, Philza. I’ve been warned that within the next decade or two the first steps to a prophecy I’ve been keeping an eye on will be taken.” His head tilted ever so slowly to the side. “And I’ve heard that an Angel is going to be the one who takes them.”
Philza’s glare was stony. “I have no interest in any prophecies, Dream,” he said honestly. “I haven’t had an interest in anything Divine for a long time now. You of all people should know that.”

OR - SBI but they are all different types of divinity and found family ensues while I make Dream a needlessly evil person

    Summary

    “Peleus.”

    “I see them, Melampus.”

See, when Techno woke up today, he wasn’t expecting much. Some robbed banks here, some blown up buildings there– not this.

In front of them were two kids, barely older than 16. One was tall with scruffy brown hair that fell over his eyes. The other was younger, a blond kid who looked like he was itching for a fight. His fists were clenched and he bounced back and forth, like he was intimidating someone he saw on television. The only thing holding him back was the older, who was watching them with sharp eyes.

He didn’t have to look at Phil to tell that he was mad. It doesn’t take much to sway either of them, even less to make them genuinely upset. But his partner always had a soft spot for kids. Gently directing them away from a crime scene or smoothly intercepting any danger that came their way.

When Techno asked about it once, all he got was a shrug. “Well, they haven’t done anything wrong. Don’t see why we should drag them into our messes,” he had said.

Looks like the hero’s don’t share the same sentiment.
