Things are going to shit, and the future is looking pretty grim. Caesar has resolved to study alongside Joseph to face the threat of the Pillar Men together, but Joseph doesn’t even seem to take any of it seriously.
With less than a month before the deadly wedding rings break open, time is running out to help Joseph master the art of not goofing off, and when it comes to training him, Caesar has to make lemonade out of some pretty crappy lemons.
Can these two goofballs keep their tempers (and other things) in check long enough for both of them to learn how to survive the ghosts of the past, the Pillar Men - and each other?
(New readers: Feel free to skip the first 4 chapters or so if you want to get to the plot!)

Seven years after her father and son lost their lives defeating Dio, it can safely be said that Holly has rallied. Her patchwork family is thriving, flourishing around her like a rambling, well-tended garden, and although her stand is of little use to her, the Speedwagon Foundation has found ways of putting it to use; she's become well-acquainted with its intricacies. There’s little, she feels, that could faze her anymore.
Even when, one bittersweet April morning, her closest family friends close the book on their lives in Tokyo and move away, she feels only a distant melancholy, a void mitigated somewhat by the new entry in her address book, by the promise to see-again-soon. Polnareff will miss them more, she’s sure. Facilitating his relationship with Kakyoin’s family has been one of her proudest accomplishments to date. It’s been good for them all, she reminds herself that night, to watch one another move on.
The next afternoon, however, she meets a boy. And her family expands, and the promise shatters, and something begins to murmur forebodingly beneath her carefully tended peace.

After he commits every single weapon in the hold to memory, Din finds himself cataloging more and more things about Skywalker instead, small observations that carve out a space in his mind unbidden.
As much as Din likes to tell himself that he’s just been taking a well-deserved break, the truth is that for the six months following their daring rescue he’s been nothing but truly and utterly lost. That is until Luke Skywalker gives him a ship and hires him to help figure out what the hell the Empire needed the Child’s blood for.
As they drift through the empty void of hyperspace, they slowly find unexpected companions in each other and realize their respective paths might not be as set as they once thought.

Link turns around, the sword flashing occasionally, sounding occasionally, and Zelda stares at him with a mix of disbelief and sympathy.
Was victory always meant to be so bitter sweet?
Soul bonds were rare.
It was either a blessing or a curse.
Even rarer did they show the memories of the other with so much detail you could taste the blood they tasted all those years ago.
Link hated waking up to the taste of iron and the feeling as if he had just been beaten black and blue.
