In the midst of capturing a magical creature, Merlin is transported to a world where Camelot is home to thousands of magic-users. King Uther is nowhere to be found, Arthur is a prince again, and Queen Ygraine sits on the throne.
Merlin plans to get back to his own reality, to his own Camelot. To do that, however, he must have access to information that is inside a shielded castle protected by powerful sorcerers. The only way in is to participate in the Apprentice Exam and be an apprentice to a magic-user included in Camelot's court. Should be easy . . . right?
Conspiracies are afoot and Merlin just knows that, somehow, he is or will be involved. Just his luck.

Summary
When Merlin started his job as game designer at DragonVision, he was excited to join the team creating an RPG about the legends of King Arthur. Soon he was even dreaming about scenes from the legend, even if those were not part of the game. Or at least they weren't planned to be, but on each day after Merlin had a dream, scenes he programmed at work changed, resembling his dreams now. Instead of biting Merlin's head off, though, his creative director, Arthur, supported and encouraged him, even when Merlin's game scenes began to create a love story between the Once and Future King and his warlock.

Summary
On a whim, at least partly prompted by the fact that it will really annoy his sister, Prince Arthur recruits Merlin to replace his missing valet, George. As time goes by, despite Merlin's inability to iron even a single garment without leaving burn marks, Arthur starts to develop inconvenient feelings—the sort that make his soulmark throb and his heart race. But Merlin is hiding unsettling secrets, and Arthur needs to decide who he can trust.
A modern-day royal magical mystery soulmate AU. In which Merlin thinks he's James Bond, or Jeeves, or Harry Potter, or something, but actually he's more like... erm... Merlin. But despite that, it all turns out all right in the end.

Merlin lays his life on the line to save Arthur yet again, only this time there are witnesses, lots of them. Only Arthur prevents him going to the headman's axe straight away, but Arthur alone cannot save him. That is up to both of them.

There is only one way to stop a zombie apocalypse - you need one reincarnated Queen, a living dead King and an immortal sorcerer. Mix in some terminator-style time-travel and the darkest of magic. Of course, before stopping the apocalypse you need to survive it first.
