Historia talks to Ymir on the eve of her birthday. I wish they had included a more emotional reaction from Historia at Ymir's letter so this is just her thinking and being sad about Ymir. Some headcannons about Ymir hehe. Also I haven't written a fic in years so this is just me writing down my thoughts lmao.
Ever since they kissed at the end of senior year, Catra has avoided Adora. The only time Adora even gets to see her is at drunken college parties. Catra never wants Adora in the light of day, though.
Catra loves Adora, but the only time Adora is willing to sink to her level is when she is drunk. Catra still keeps coming back for more.
(Or, these two idiots had their first kiss drunk, and now they’re both convinced the other doesn’t want them sober. And it’s a college au. No drunk sex, but there will be smut.)

After months of unemployment, Catra finally gets a role in a sequel of a popular action movie. It's just her luck that in her very first scene, she is paired with Adora, the most annoying girl in the entire industry.
Things only go downhill from there.
"Meet me at the cafe tomorrow at four. We're gonna need to set some ground rules for… whatever this is. And before you get your hopes up, it's not a-"
"Not a date," Adora said with a crooked smirk. "Don't worry. I had no intentions of dating you."
Catra turned the doorknob.
"Good, because this is just fucking. And that is a rule."
Catra opened the door but stayed put, waiting.
"Your name," Adora said. "Will you tell me now?"
She saw Adora's smile before she stepped out and pulled the door closed behind herself.

Adora scoffs with the end of the clean bandage between her teeth. The first layer of gauze is already soaked, her blood spreading like a crimson spider web.
"Well, you're not gonna kill her," Adora grumbles, curling another layer of the bandage on her arm. Her eyes meet with Catra's over the still flickering embers. "We took the job, not you."
"Do you think I give a fuck about you and your shitty team?" Catra asks, scrunching her nose as she watches Adora struggle. "You're so bad at this."
"I'm not," Adora says, her voice growing high. "It's just harder to do it for yourself."
Catra unfolds her crossed legs and slides closer to her. Adora can feel the warmth oozing from her body, and the scent of her skin is so sweet under the smell of oil and dirt.
"Let me, idiot."
Adora does. Her attention is solely on Catra's face - the arch of her brows and her slightly parted lips with the tiny pink tip of her tongue visible.
Catra glances up, catching Adora staring. Neither of them looks away.
Catra says, with a palm warm on Adora's arm and her voice low: "It's personal. I won't let you have her."
Adora swallows thickly.
"I can't let you do that. It's personal for me, too."
Adora and Catra were raised in the Pirate Horde together all their lives. After a lifetime of being told she would amount to nothing, Catra has finally been given her own ship to command – it only took Adora’s ship sinking for Shadow Weaver to give Catra a chance. Avenging her lover is the only way Catra can imagine ever feeling at peace again. It is odd how familiar the siren they are hunting looks, though.

There have always been rumors about immortals, but the general populace dismisses it as a fable from a time before science could explain someone’s recovery. Rumors have continued to circulate in the criminal underground, however, of individuals who can pull off job after job, never seeming to face consequences or even gather scars. When Adora receives a fatal injury during a heist and wakes up alive and unharmed in her bed, she is forced to accept that there is more to the legend than just mysticism.
There is an entire group seeming to possess the same miraculous abilities fresh on the scene in the Fright Zone, and the Alliance is starting to cut into the Horde’s take now. With the knowledge that they all could be like Adora, she is sent to join them undercover and spy on them, but fears begin to rise that Adora has truly turned her back on the Horde – and Catra.
