He stopped himself from flinching and curling weakening muscles when the reticent clang and clink of mugs rang in his ears. Instead he swallowed down unwelcome bites of old ramen.
“You really need to learn how to clean up after yourself,” George sighed, the crinkle of his ramen wrapper being balled into a smaller fist than his own sounded in bitter air. “Clay this expired several months ago.”
So did their relationship so why was George still pretending to care about him?
