  1. Summary

Doing a 30 day fic challenge, except with weeks instead of days because I can't write that fast xD The prompt for each fic will be noted in its summary. Most of these are canon-based, but a couple of AUs could show up. Some of the fics here will refer to other fics in the series, but they are all standalone unless otherwise noted. I will also probably be using this as a motivator to update certain WIPs I have. And lastly, some of the things posted here might end up being incorporated into other, longer fics later on.

This should be updated every Thursday, Friday, or Saturday for the next 30 weeks. Hopefully I won't fail any worse than sometimes missing a week. Wish me luck! :)

    Summary

“Blast it, man, you put a hole in the only known portrait of Theron Blackbyrne! I know you disagreed with my placement of it, but there are better ways to express your opinion.”
    ***
Taken from the incident in Maelstrom with Drs. Farr and Durfree where Griffin theorizes that their relationship is more than just adversarial. And Whyborne is oblivious.

"Their rivalry is legendary! Half the staff have bets as to when they'll kill one another."

"Aside from the need for discretion, some people prefer their affairs more... tumultuous."

    Summary

Fits at the beginning of the Threshold when Griffin discovers the scorched plaster and Whyborne has to admit he experimented more than a bit and caused a “freak wind” in the museum the day before. The scene was so deliciously set that I had to explore it a little. I recommend rereading it before you read this one, to get the full picture.

Griffin uses the opportunity to try something new with Whyborne and, not surprisingly, they both end up enjoying it.

Whyborne needs a little help getting out the door, following events of Necropolis. Griffin is happy to lend a hand. Perhaps more than a hand. *g*

    Summary

In the year 1725, or thereabouts, John Silver finds himself driven by a storm into an inconsequential little port town, barely a speck on any civilised map. Returned to the life of a drifter, tired and rough around the edges, he is resigned to waiting for the weather to pass before he can sail on again to the next town, and the next, and the next. That is until he overhears a conversation in the inn about a local fisherman, one Captain Barlow, and his tall tales of tempests and becalmings, devils and sharks, and Silver finds a new future opening up to him, haunted by the spectres of his past.
