Written for Oh Sam Birthday Fix-it Feast on LJ. Prompt: Nick shouldn’t have been able to overcome Sam in “Game Night.” What did he do to Sam before that fight, physically or psychologically, to throw him?
"Because as much as he tries to hide it, Nick does scare Sam. Sometimes the murderous glint in his eye has Sam forgetting that Lucifer was ever killed in the first place."
"In my dreams, in my dreams, Sam says to his brother, I make him suffer." The one in which Dean isn't carried away by Micheal and is able to comfort Sam while he takes the time to process the death of his torturer. "He guesses that Sam has lived so long in fear that he has forgotten how to live in the absence of it." Post season 13.
