Lex seemed uneasy, and that was not always a good sign. But he seemed to relax as she gathered his thoughts and spoke.
“You know that Andrea’s heart was donated to someone right?”
Lena froze. Yes, she did. But she never knew who and where. She never bothered to because she wouldn’t really know how to react knowing her heart was out there somewhere. That although she died, her heart lived. She just gave Lex a nod while sipping her wine.
“I found her. The person who got Andrea’s heart.” Lex said in a low voice.
The one where Lena meets Kara during the most hurtful time of her life. And what's with the heart? Who has it?

“And then, at the end of the evening, he kissed me,” she continues.
Lena opens her mouth, then closes it again. She looks down at her glass, swirls the scotch around a few times. “Oh,” she finally manages, her voice faint. “That’s—that’s great, Kara.”
“And then I told him that I couldn’t go out with him anymore.” She’s already looking at Lena when Lena’s head snaps back up, her eyes going round as they meet Kara’s. “Because you can’t date someone when you’re in love with someone else.”
A date with the wrong person leads to a confession with the right person, and everything that comes after
(or, Kara goes on a date with William and then ends it to go kiss Lena instead)
[ “Well, Kieran was watching the two of you play and wanted to come and say hi, right buddy?” Kieran nodded with a shy grin.
“Ah, I see! Well, I bet that this guy is the one you really want to say hi to then, right?” She questioned and she pointed a thumb over her shoulder at the dog. Kieran chuckled along with the woman but nodded his head in agreement. ]
When Lena's son asks to say hi to the woman and her dog in the park, Lena never expected for her life to be affected so drastically. Little did she know, that they were the missing pieces to the puzzle that is her life.

The first time Kara kisses her, it is largely unimportant.
It happens simply enough: Kara’s mouth pressed to Lena’s cheek mid-pose for the group photo that Nia insists on taking during a particularly rowdy game night. In the grand scale of things, it barely even registers. Kara’s lips are there and gone in the time it takes for an iPhone camera shutter to open and close, and the only lasting reminder of it lives on Nia’s Instagram page, in a world of social media that Lena does not frequent.
She doesn’t really think about it.
It was love at first awkward elevator conversation for Kara.
“Uhmm. You’re the new tenant, right?”
The woman smiled and nodded. She smelled like earl grey and jasmine.
“I—I’m Kara. Danvers. 401.” She held out her hand which the other woman took. Her hand was soft and warm, much like how Kara’s stomach and cheeks were feeling at that moment.
“Lena. Luthor. 406.”
And then there was silence, filled only by the mechanical humming of the elevator slowly descending.
The elevator door was about to open and Kara scrambled to say something—anything—just to keep the conversation going.
“I like potstickers and pizza.” And you.
The one where Kara's a coward and Lena is always late--sort of.
