Summary

Summary

Over the course of two weeks, Geralt gets to know the sensitive, loving person underneath, past what tabloids say about him and the public persona he puts on.
His earnestness and desire to get to know the real Jaskier might just be the thing Jaskier needed to regain a little hope.

Summary
Jaskier has known since he was a baby that music was a form of magic. He thought about it in a more metaphorical way at the time, but as he grew up he realized music could be magical in a very literal sense.
"Lullabies and other magic" is the foundational piece of the series about the inherent magic of music, Geralt and Jaskier's development as individuals, and how they come together. It can be read as a standalone.
The rest is a series of loosely interconnected stories, varying from crack-fic to introspective one-shots, about Jaskier exploring his abilities, Geralt and Jaskier's relationship, the family they cherish, their adventures, and the life they build together.

All I have to say is: FUCK
Words can’t concisely describe the layers and care and emotions of this fic; the way Sam and Dean are soulmates without putting down Dean/Cas or Sam/Eileen, and vice versa. How bodies are just landscapes too, and thus vulnerable to colonialism and radiation and rot and UGH. American history and all its bloodiness, stories in books and movies and The Narrative. Sam finally getting autonomy and his body back after going through some fucked up shit, the way Billie is described here, the way everyone views themselves (Sam is Dean’s baby! He put his shoes on for him!)… this fic just Gets It.
Bonus for, among all of this, Cas getting a greenhouse and getting to make marmalade <3 & doing crosswords and taking pictures of solitary sunflowers and loving Dean, loving all of them.
