He should let Shen Wei be. Shouldn't encourage him to get attached to yet another person who's going to leave him. Shouldn't encourage the fragile trust he can see already budding in Shen Wei's eyes when Zhao Yunlan knows he's only going to break it. And yet he can't. It's selfish as all hell and a part of him hates himself for it, but he'd sooner cut out his own heart than stay away from Shen Wei. Than let Shen Wei continue walking his path alone.
