Or, Kirishima is stressed, Bakugou is concerned, and dry autumn leaves prove to be quite the distraction.Aizawa had tasked him with going around the dorm building and changing the garbage bags where needed, easy. Not distracting enough, though. Even still, he’d successfully made his way through the building starting from the top, only needing to take a deep breath and remove a shaking hand from the edge of his chaffed, almost-lifted sleeve once. Progress, all things considered.

Mitsuki launches herself off the horse and towards him, relief slamming through her as she soaks in the warmth of the willowy body of her son in her arms. She’s got a tirade queued up that will have the gods come down from the sky begging to tone it down, but then her eyes fall on the bundle of red scaled wings, white teeth, whiny chirping, and long, long, spiked tail clawing at the crook of Katsuki’s elbow to avoid sliding off to the ground.
Katsuki sniffs proudly. “I found me a chicken.”Or: in which a dragon is mistaken for a chicken for the longest time and Mitsuki clearly never told her child enough legends before bed.

No matter what Katsuki would like to think, pressure can only build for so long before something has to give.When Katsuki wakes, it is to the too-bright halogen glow of the recovery bay lights and an ache set deep in his bones. For a moment he stares up at the off-white stucco ceiling and doesn’t remember why he’s here.
A door stretching up to the sky. Green lightning. A fist deep in his gut.
