- The air felt thick, viscous and uncomfortable.
It clung to Keith’s skin, draping over him like a hot itchy lead blanket. Everything felt muted. -
Lance pulls Keith out of his funk, and Keith cries on the phone.
TW for depression and panic attacks.
Ronan gets in a bar fight, and arrives at St Agnes bloody and slightly drunk.
Keith takes the train to attend the hell hole that is his private school, and though he's used to the weirdos and creeps who frequent the locomotive, apparently not everyone aboard is.
There's a stranger on this train that Keith can just tell is a target. Already a group of older men have set their sights on the boy, who's not even aware of his surroundings, that's how zoned-out he is.
So Keith, being the kind-hearted kid he is, takes it upon himself to lend his own defensive appearance to ward off creepers who may want to harm this oblivious boy, if only to keep the guy daydreaming peacefully.
He takes his job very seriously. This is /his/ stranger after all.
"Kid, the next time I say, "Let's go someplace like Bolivia," let's go someplace like Bolivia."
- Paul Newman (Butch), Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Jean Kirschtein was born from the dust, a Pennsylvanian boy without a penny to his name and a wandering spirit. Having long idolised the outlaws who galloped through his dimestore novels, he chooses to seek out adventure and fortune out West. Little does he know that he is setting in motion the events that will make him become one of the most renowned and infamous bandits of the century; a member of the legendary Wild Bunch, led by a man who leads Jean to question his beliefs, his morals and his heart.
But the days of the West are coming to a close; can he and Marco Bodt, a man famous for being one of the most successful bank robbers of the territory without ever firing a gun, shake loose the Pinkertons, the posses, and the ever-present threat of a modern age that wants them banished to the history books?
This is Jean's story, told in his own words - and the heart of an outlaw.

Jean Kirschtein is a Jaeger pilot, just trying his damnedest not to meet a disappointing end. Maybe he had goals once. Maybe there was a part of him that the storm didn’t touch. Not anymore.
Having been kicked from the Mark II Jaeger, Atlas Rogue, on account of the fact no-one Drifts with Eren Jaeger and walks out unscathed, Jean finds himself relegated to the Anchorage Shatterdome, Alaska, the very edge of the world. There's a new Mark IV about to be launched, and it needs a pilot. Technically - it needs two pilots. It's a shame he has a chip on his shoulder the size of a Kaiju.
A JMGE PacRim AU for Yoitay, exploring the journey of a Jaeger pilot from the bottom of the barrel, to the cusp of hope, across every up and down in between.
Photography has always been an passion of Keith's. Being able to capture the perfect moment; grant it immortality and unleash it to the world, so that the people may decide what stories they tell.
But when given the opportunity to expand his horizons, Keith finds himself on a month long excursion in the middle of nowhere, with only his camera and his own thoughts to keep him company.
And this forest; this mountainous landscape seemingly untouched by human hands, holds more than just a vast array of scenic landscapes and wondrous wildlife worthy of being captured in film.
It holds a secret. One Keith hadn't anticipated discovering, much less believing. And though they say "take only pictures, leave only footprints", Keith worries that when he finally has to return to his mundane world, he'll be leaving more than just tracks on the ground.
But his heart has always belonged to the woods, and he knows the fox will guard it well.
