Summary
Felicity is a prisoner of the Templar Order, desperately trying to escape. Oliver is a member of the Brotherhood of Assassins, dealing with the death of his father. The two organizations clash together, demanding the end of the other side. When the Order sends Felicity undercover to infiltrate the Assassins, she doesn't know which will be worse, failing to gain the trust of the Brotherhood or getting caught by the Order trying to double cross them. When Oliver grows close to Felicity, he doesn't know which will be worse, losing her to the Brotherhood, or losing her to the Order.

“Go away,” Catra muttered, curling up tighter and trying to disappear into the corner. Adora didn’t move.
“Are… you mad at me?” Her voice was small and uncertain. Catra’s ears flattened against her head; she closed her eyes. “I… I’m sorry if I made you feel bad, I didn’t mean to—”
“Just leave me alone!” Catra huffed. “Go play with your new friend Lonnie.”
“Are you mad about Lonnie?” Adora was so stupid sometimes. “She’s just like Entrapta and Scorpia—”
“No she’s not! She’s normal, you can be human with her!” Tears pressed against her eyelids, threatening to escape. There was a sudden shuffle of feet; Catra thought Adora was running away, but then a heavy body dropped on top of her, hugging her curled up form as tight as possible.
“I don’t want to be human with her,” Adora said stubbornly. “I’d rather be a wolf with you. You’re my best friend.”
Catra face was pressed into her knees, muffling her voice as she mumbled, “You promise?”
“I promise,” Adora replied without hesitation.

“Oh? What were you thinking about, exactly?”
“About the day we met,” Adora answered easily.
Catra hummed at the memory. “You mean the best day of my life? I remember it well.”
She snorted. “Please. It was not. You almost drowned!” Her denial was met with an arched eyebrow.
“You doubt my word?”
“I doubt your ability to be serious.”
With a shrug of acquiescence. “I suppose that’s fair,” she mused quietly, slowly walking towards her. “But I assure you…” Catra came close, dangerously close. “I’m quite serious,” she crooned.
Adora smiled. “Why was it the best day of your life?” She only closed her eyes when the other woman traced fingers down her cheek, enjoying the volts of electricity that seemed to pulse along her skin where Catra touched her.
“The day I met you?” She could feel her pulse in her ears as they twitched, her throat running dry. She gripped what remained of her courage and continued. “The day I met the love of my life? How could it not be the best day?” Catra held her breath for just a moment before continuing on. “Adora… you do know that I love you… right?”

Catra had imagined lots of scenarios for her first bus ride to school. Annoying people screaming on the seats around of her, getting kicked out by the bus driver for punching a random guy (wouldn’t be the first time), or whatever other torture school buses could provide.
She never imagined she’d be listening to Taylor Swift and sharing earphones with a complete stranger. A very cute stranger. And nothing felt weird or awkward., like if Adora and Catra had known each other for a long time already. Maybe the universe wasn’t so mean after all.
