“We are going to be so fucking late!” Kara complains, throwing her hands in the air with clear frustration.
“Oh you don’t say," Lena sarcastically says, rolling her eyes in annoyance.
Kara sends her a glare, “Now is not the time for your sarcasm, Luthor!” Kara continues, “It’s my cousin’s wedding! And I’m going to miss it!”
Lena sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose. She is equally angry with the situation and she understands Kara's frustration, but complaining is not going to help them finish the case any faster.
“Well, it’s not like I asked the perp to escape prison!” she add and Kara huffs a breath as she glares at the youngest Luthor once again. If looks could kill, Kara would be murdering Lena on the spot in that moment.

After their bet, Kara and Lena finally get a along better. However, they still love to annoy each other. With newfound feelings for detective Luthor, Kara will have to learn to cope with them or move on.

“Stay over?” Kara sleepily tells her, her voice is soft and subdued due to the tiredness, but still manages to melt Lena’s heart in an instant. Lena brushes the blonde curls away from her face gently and lets out a chuckle as she fondly stares at her.
“I already told you I think you should get some rest,” she tells her, and Kara just smiles with her eyes closed, before pulling Lena closer to her side. Kara curls up closer to her, wrapping her strong arms tighter around Lena’s waist and burying her head into the crook of Lena’s neck.

“I’m still mad at you,” she just says and continues working, this time applying some ointment in her wound, making Kara let out a sigh of relief. “I just couldn’t let you walk around with an infected wound.”

Lena runs out of things to look at in the room. Her eyes flit back to the green chair in the corner.
“We’re just friends,” Kara says. Just.
“So neither of you holds any romantic feelings for the other.”
“No,” Kara confirms.
Lena looks back at the blue vase. She thinks if she looks at it long enough she might start feeling like the water inside- calm, content, accepting that its vessel is shoddy and imperfect.
She feels both their eyes on her. Molly’s is gentle, asking. Kara’s is insistent.
“Lena?” Kara asks, and Lena quickly looks away.
“It’s okay,” Molly says. “It looks like we have a lot to talk about.”
