Summary
The sensation is fleeting, gone again as Buck moves back around in front of Eddie. He leans in, both hands clutching at Eddie’s shoulders this time. “And remember,” he mutters, then lets his elbows give out until his face is so close that Eddie can feel his hot breath curling around his ear, “you’re not allowed to touch.”
All the muscles in Eddie’s stomach clench and arousal sparks like a fuse inside him. He’s easy, so easy, and this is going to end so badly if he’s not careful.
-
In which Buck gives Eddie a lap dance, because that's what bros do.

Summary
It makes the breath catch in Buck’s lungs. He doesn’t know how it’s possible when he’s just spoken to him but suddenly he misses Eddie with such a fierce intensity that it leaves him aching. He presses the phone to his chest so hard it hurts, but he wants the words inside of him, wants them bruised onto his skin and scratched into his ribs. You’re the love of my fucking life, he wants to say back. What he actually types is just as honest.

“Hey,” Buck whispers, because the moment feels sweet and easy and he doesn’t want to ruin it. It’s the simplest thing in the world to lean down and gently capture Eddie’s bottom lip between his own, to kiss him awake properly with a little tongue and a hand in his hair.

Summary
“Jesus, it’s cold,” Buck says as he steps onto the balcony. He comes up behind Eddie and winds his arms tight around Eddie’s waist, pressing his icy nose into his neck. Eddie’s freezing, goosebumps all over his body, but he just hums and takes one hand off the rail to rest it on Buck’s forearm instead. Not pushing Buck away, but not fully allowing him in either. “Nightmare?”

Summary
Dull rain is pattering gently against the windows when Buck wakes up and contentment rises within him like a wave. There’s a warm, heavy arm slung over his stomach, the comforter around him thick and soft, the house settled and at ease. Buck drifts for a little while, lulled back to sleep by the soothing rhythm of Eddie’s breathing and the promise of a day off.

Summary
“Oh. You’re—uh.” Should he—say something? Why would he say something, though. Just because this isn’t something they do… Eddie’s clearly fine with this, initiating this, and Buck—there’s never a time Buck doesn’t want this, want this bad. So why would he say you have a bed right there and come off as a dick when they’re both perfectly fine with this.
Or, worse in ways that are both hysterical and heartbreaking, come off as vaguely homophobic or make Eddie uncomfortable about the way he’s currently spooning Buck like he’s been doing it all his life.
He settles for a lighthearted, “Are you drunk?”
Eddie sighs sleepily, breath tickling Buck’s neck. “Yeah. Kinda.”
or, getting little-spooned by his drunk best friend was not on buck's maid-of-honour checklist, but. it's happening

Summary
“No, no, wha’s that mean, I’m like the sun?” Buck pushes, and whether he’s actually wondering or if he’s making fun of him, Eddie isn’t in a state of mind to be sure of - but it’s probably both. And both is just fine. Especially when he’s laughing like this. Smiling like this. Looking at Eddie like this. “What’s that mean?” he repeats, trailing off into giggles, Eddie’s own bleeding together with the happy sound.
“What’s in the box, what’s in the box?” Eddie mocks softly through more chuckles.
Everything happens in a series of blurry images, and yet Eddie has never felt more present. Buck starts laughing even louder - he’s probably about to tip his head back to let the sound echo boundlessly around the loft - but as he starts to tip his head back, their noses bump clumsily, and after that - everything is just… color.
Or: Buck and Eddie get wasted, wake up hungover, and consult Buck’s camera roll in order to sharpen their blurry memories of what happened in between.

Summary
“Look, I’m not trying to tell you your business. I’m just… let’s say I’m inviting you to consider why you chose to spend Valentine’s Day with your best friend instead of your girlfriend.”
“It’s not because it was Valentine’s Day,” Buck says. “I would have made the same choice any day.”
Maddie snorts a laugh. “Yeah, maybe consider that one, too.”

Summary
"Too bad we can't just date each other."
Eddie laughs. "What?"
"No, I'm serious!" Buck sets his beer down, the better to gesture with both hands, face lighting up, and Eddie just—he really loves the guy, okay. Ridiculous as he is. "It would be so much easier! You wouldn't have to introduce a new person to Chris—he already likes me anyway—and you could tell Pepa so she'll stop setting you up on dates that don't go anywhere—"
"And what would you get out of this?" Eddie asks, grinning.
