Summary
A sequel to The Silver of Moonlight
The Frasers are taking a trip to Mt. Josiah to visit John Grey and William Ransom before winter hits the Ridge. Missing their friend and lover terribly after five months of separation, Claire and Jamie and are eager for their reunion.
However, not all is well at the plantation. Having a sister and a stepmother who are enlightened by knowledge of the future, Willie makes significant changes to the very foundation of how he lives his life. Jamie, John, and Claire do their best to help William deal with the fallout of his decision.
Jamie and William continue to navigate their complicated relationship, and Brianna begins to have suspicions about a change in her parents' relationship to their closest friend.
