Summary
Cleaned and dressed and safe again, tucked into the corner table of a bar they last visited some odd decades ago, the very last of the adrenaline drains out of Joe and leaves him with something twisted up and bitter in its stead, to address the question of what to do with Sebastien le Livre.

Kim and Stephen aren't really together; will never be together. Things still shake out okay in the end.

god this so beautifully done. i LOVE how it’s written in these lovely aching little vignettes and the way the words are used, often sparsely but just so frickin’ well... puts my hands all over this and absorbs it into my brain hole.

Summary
Joseph would be the first person to admit that he’s not the most sentimental guy in the world. He gets called everything from a bitch to a jackass, and he’s fine with it. He says what’s on his mind, and if that makes him difficult to be with, so be it. Hollie seems to like him just fine and there are about a fifty-million cliché sayings about having one true friend so Joseph reckons that he’s doing alright.

“So maybe Stephen isn’t used to having a boyfriend, but Joseph isn’t either so he understands and doesn’t try to rush them.“ grbabdhjtkrlgbabrwhargbarmlbabrl. Yeah.

Stephen Stills has ninety-nine problems and a bitch is one of them, and adding a one-hundredth to the pile...well, that just seemed fairly nihilistic.

Summary
“You know we can’t meet anymore, Pittsie.”
“We have to. I can’t sleep, & it’s already after midnight. We’re late.” The exasperation in Pitts’ voice was there, though it was still only slight. Meeks tried to figure out if Pitts had slept at all recently, but he wouldn’t stay in place long enough. “We’re pledges,” Pitts continued. “We promised.”
“I know,” Meeks tried, “but it’s already too late."
[A late-night conversation between Meeks & Pitts, taking place between the expulsion/termination of Charlie & Mr. Keating and the final moments of the movie.]

Bookmarker's Notes
“But I can read a map, Meeks thought. All he needed was a compass.
Or, he thought, as his eyes focused on the sharpness of Pitts through the blur of the room around them, a lighthouse.” THEY CAN’T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
