    Summary

The snow came down in perfect, soft-drifting whorls, gentle on the mountain breeze. The first breath froze the lungs, but the second eased the burn, and the third brought only clean comfort.

Leona sighed, a plume of mock-dragon’s fire, white and misty, puffing from her lips. She touched the lingering music of the Fade and closed her eyes, wrapped her cheeks in warmth like the fur-lined cloak draped across her shoulders [...]

“It all seems pretty big, doesn’t it?”
    ---
Just after Leona is made Inquisitor, she and Varric have a discussion.

    Summary

"Solas felt, beneath the soles of his feet, cool soil as it molded and turned and pressed against his skin—soil that remembered more flecks and fragments than the collective knowledge of the elves. Moist loam and gentle mosses recalled his steps, and the Fade tugged, gentle as a breeze, in the air around him."

Solas finds a moment of reflection in this world.

    Summary

Every day that they remained in the keep, before the midday meal, the Inquisitor would climb the stairs to the library. At first, Solas assumed she sought the Tevinter boy, evidently developing some unlikely kinship during their time in the bleak future of Redcliffe; but after some weeks, he happened to catch her leading Helisma—their Tranquil researcher—through the halls to the west wing.

It was where the majority of the Tranquil were quartered.

Solas kept a careful watch after that, from his room below. Trevelyan would fetch the researcher and exit through to the hall, and from there enter the Tranquil’s quarters. It was… unexpected. Most mages kept away from their Fade-castrated brethren, reminded all too keenly of the fear they suffered beneath the rule of the Chantry.
    ---
This one explores the friendship between Solas and Leona and theorizes a lot about tranquility and the nature of those made tranquil. With a dash of the usual romance fluff of course.

    Summary

Exactly what it says on the tin. Ten pages of smut (that skips rather ahead in the relationship timeline) based on the suggestion: rough!Cullen.
    --
After that first (filthy, divine) incident on the desk (Cullen blushed even now, thinking of it, as he signed off a report for Leliana) they discussed such entanglements at length. Leona loved to talk, and the subject of… sex. Yes. Sex. There was really nothing else for it, and Cullen found himself grinning shamefully. The subject of sex was no exception for Leona, and she could spend the better part of the evening just talking: preferences, positions, techniques and tactics—a dozen he’d never heard of, even in the barracks, and far more he had never considered. Endless questions about what he enjoyed—he recalls one particularly teasing ‘does this please you?’ and he feels his cheeks heat further. As they found a rhythm, he prided himself on always asking, ever accommodating.
    Until yesterday.

    Summary

The next two days kept Leona busy with things she was not actually sure were her affair, but it did keep her from dwelling on the last conversation she’d had with Cullen.
They can't avoid one another for long.
    ---
' Leona arched an eyebrow. “It’s all right, Cullen—I can safely say I didn’t come up here to talk about the weather.”
“Ah.” She could almost hear the unspoken 'I was afraid of that'. “Of course.”
“I think you know why I came up.” '

    Summary

[Inquisition/Solas Romance spoilers] It was a blessing in which she could feel the power: cool, bright fingertips that whispered over skin, words that reached down to her heart and bound it up in gentleness, a tender tug at the magic that had seeped into her soul, the hot tingling of the Fade so like a breath of summer wind in the trees.

    Summary

" They had commandeered the largest bench in the tavern in lieu of a war table, map stretched a little too large for the aged wood, Cassandra bearing down on it like some great, irritated predator. “The Templars are coming out of the north, and a small horde of abominations has been spotted to the east. We’re on level ground here, completely exposed. We have two options..." "

    Summary

    " Cullen prayed.

The metal-framed door creaked on heavy hinges, but the Templar did not move until a shadow settled beside him, and tugged the hood from her head. They sat in silence, Andraste before them, the Knight-Captain and the Nightingale.

    “You are troubled,” said Leliana.

    “As are you.” "

    Summary

Cullen joins the Inquisitor during her weekly ritual in the armory in exchange for a song. They learn a little more than they expected from this simple afternoon.
    -----
" “You never run short, do you?”

Leona glanced up, a smile upon lips that had unknowingly sung. “Of songs?” she asked. Cullen looked smaller without his armor and furs—his penchant for the latter giving him away as a natural-born Fereldan when she first saw him as surely as Leliana’s love of shoes told of her Orlesian descent without even a single spoken word.

    “As long as I keep learning them—no, I don’t think I shall.” "

    Summary

" “In another life,” she was fond of saying, all dimples and robust cheeks as she worked, “I was a fool in some Orlesian court.” "

Leona makes a move, and Cullen learns some poetry he's not entirely sure he ever wanted to hear.

    Summary

"The Inquisitor did not remind him of her.

The ways she moved was nothing like the distracted sway of her gait. The tips of her ears were round as any human that ever lived. Her steps were long and proud; the turn of her lips the most foolish thing you had ever seen. Even when she joked with the maleficar, her lips were but upturned: the quiet humor showed more in her eyes.

When Leona smiled, it was with her whole body. Even when she returned, newly recruited to the Grey Wardens, in better humor than he had ever seen, her body was still controlled, little, clever grins only lingering on the lips and in the eyes.

The only thing the Herald and the Warden had in common was their curse."
