Summary
The only time she ever saw Hank Voight get flustered was when he came close to actually seeing her as, not just this pain in his side, but the beautiful woman she was.
She exhaled slow, unsure if she needed to prepare herself for another round, or if he would call a truce for the night.
His voice was low, quiet even, and he surprised her with, “Don’t you ever get tired?”

Summary
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” Rosa teased. She trudged through the snow with no preamble or embarrassment and threw herself into Maria’s arms without question.
Maria squeezed her tight. It’s been years, and she still can’t stop herself from clinging to her best friend as if she’ll never see her again.
“You’re such a little shit, ” Maria mumbled into Rosa’s neck. She smelled like leather and peppermint, and she was warm and alive, and there. “That joke has gotten old.”“It’s been four years, Rosa,” she snorted. She headed around back to grab Rosa’s bags.
It's a DeLuca/Ortecho Christmas. Lucid Mimi, alive Rosa, sweet and sassy Arturo, and shenanigans.

High School Manevans AU. What you get when you have an angsty emo punk and a soft nerdy poet spending too much time together.
He thumbed through the book, worn pages filled with scratchy notes and fanciful words.
Spilled ink and a bared soul, nearly as intimate as a diary. He hummed to himself, words painting pictures in his mind and pictures becoming sounds in his head.
He sang quietly, hauntingly a tale of lost love, the ache of being peered through in a busy hallway and not gazed at. A soft brushing of fingers, accidental in lab, and a half-smile. He sang of deep, profound loneliness, and an aching for something unattainable.
He sang Max’s words, his own half-grin forming when Max opened his eyes, stared at him with a dropped jaw their eyes locked in the familiar way that they do when something inexplicable clicks into place.
The last chord died out in the room, and silence replaced it. Max stared, awed. "That was good."
“That was you,” he replied. “Like I said, you’re a poet. Even better, you’re a songwriter. I could use one of those.”

Summary
Carmy folds his arms again, toying with his fork. “Anyways, it’s gonna happen.”
“Right,” Sydney says. “Blind faith. Let it rip.”
“And,” Carmy says, pointing the fork at her, “because you’re you, and this is insane.” He gestures to their empty dishes.
Sydney ducks her head, tries hard not to let his praise tilt her off her stool and onto the floor. “Shut up.”
-- Testing for The Bear's menu, Sydney cooks for Carmy. They share a conversation and a meal. Sydney does her best to be emotionally mature while battling real actual demons (romantic attraction towards her coworker).
