Summary
“Why are you in my house?” John asks, hand tensing almost imperceptibly around the pistol grip.
“I’m here because I need to talk to you,” he says, and removes his sunglasses, folding them and placing them neatly into a pocket on the inside of his leather jacket. “My name is Neo.”

Summary
You let yourself slouch back into the couch, pissed off about having to watch the movie alone and then getting pissed off about that pissing you off. John Wick is fucking awesome and the other Gordons are missing it. Again! And it’s not like you’re the one who needs to see it, clearly. You already know all the lines, all the beats; you know all the different cars and guns...fuck, at this point, you’re probably more familiar with Keanu Reeves’ face than your own.
You roll your good eye at no one, picking up the pillow and squeezing it against your chest. “That doesn’t mean anything,” you say. “Keanu Reeves is objectively hot. I’m allowed to say that he looks good, he's a celebrity. Who gives a shit.”

Summary
Barney Calhoun was annoying. Like a fly Gordon couldn’t swat. An itch he couldn’t scratch.

Summary
In retrospect, yeah, Barney probably could’ve been more careful. But was it his fault? If you asked him, the answer was an emphatic Fuck, no. It was obviously Freeman’s fault—Gordon Freeman, who strutted down the halls of Black Mesa like he owned the place, sneering at Barney for daring to offer some help carrying his samples down to the lab.

Summary
The no-hiding theorem is the ultimate proof of the conservation of quantum information. If entropy represents information in quantum theory, then it is believed then that information should somehow be conserved. The theorem proves that missing information is never hidden—it simply resides elsewhere.
The battle's been won, the suppression field's come down—and some temporal bullshit means that Gordon's been swapped for a ruder, meaner version of himself from a parallel universe. Now Barney's stuck with him and a whole lot of misplaced sexual frustration. You can hardly blame him for giving in, really.

Summary
“I think our rendezvous point is a gay bar,” Hal observed, voice low.
There was considered silence, then rustling as Dave — no, Pliskin, he remembered they weren’t supposed to know each other — produced a matchbook and a cigarette, taking his time in lighting it. “That a problem?”
Post-Tanker Incident. Snake and Otacon deal with repression, impulsiveness, and the consequences of trying to have your cake and eat it too.

Summary
This is a present for a gift exchange. There isn't much plot here, but if you want to read 4000 words of Barney Calhoun and Gordon Freeman loving each other a lot? I have got the story for you.
Technically this is in the same universe as Gordon in Breen's Office, What Propaganda Will He Make but you don't need to read that to understand this, or vice versa.

Summary
Gordon shakes his head. “No. I’m fine, it’s just--” he pauses for a moment. When he starts speaking again, he moves slowly, picks his words carefully. “It’s been a long time since I've been touched by someone who wasn’t... trying to kill me.”
He almost regrets speaking at the expression that fills Barney’s face. Gordon can only just barely hold eye contact on the best of days, and as much as he’s wanted to drink in the sight of Barney as often as he can, the sheer piercing sadness forces him to avert his eyes entirely.
“Do--” Barney swallows, his voice uncharacteristically quiet. “Do you... want to be?”

Summary
When the rift in space was sealed and the Resonance Cascade had ended, one glaring problem remained: they were homeless. Not in the “dire financial straits” way so much as the “our living quarters were destroyed by an interdimensional anomaly” way. It was midnight when they left the Chuck E. Cheese, and they had nowhere to go.
Hi I wrote this to cope. Sometimes you just gotta have a nervous breakdown in a hotel room with the love of your life.
