Harry Greene realizes how awful he's been to Charlie and Nick, and he apologizes to them after some deep thought and realization about what an cruel person he's been.

Summary
The problem I have with season 5’s time jump is that it seems uncaring. All of these characters have interesting stories that were developed throughout the end of season 4 一 AJ’s mom and her cancer diagnosis, Conrad and Nic’s parenting journey, Kit and Bell deciding to begin their romance 一 but these stories seem to have been put on hold by the three-year time jump soon after Nic’s “death”.
Instead of using screentime to chart the journeys of these characters during the Three Lost Years, we sort of skip over the 3 years and jump into the light at the end of the tunnel. It reeks of toxic positivity 一 “don’t cry! Don’t spend time actually using sadness to further your emotional growth! Instead, you can just fast-forward to the After Times!"
No hate to anyone who still enjoys this show! This, however, is an explanation why I don't watch anymore. Season 4 felt optimistic and sent the message that we can all survive. Season 5 tells us just the opposite and, worse yet, these characters feel somewhat watered down and listless in the wake of tragedy.

Summary
Chapter 2: character building in b99
I find it very interesting the ways in which Brooklyn Nine-Nine navigates character stereotypes and archetypes. Within the first episode, Captain Holt breaks expectations left and right; yes, he’s a stickler for the rules and his humor is dry, but even lines like “no, no, go on, you were describing what kind of person I’m going to be” and his amazing “that’s a terrible robot dance” (after he makes Jake dance) display sarcasm and wit.
A meta-analytical look at b99 through different episodes and plotlines because I love analyzing TV shows' storylines, characters, and relationships with insight and nuance. I'm especially focused on analyzing Jake and Amy's relationship because I love them, and their slow burn is wonderful.

A group of fanfics dealing with the season 5 storyline of Nic's "death." I use quotation marks, of course, because I find that plot point so bogus and poorly planned that I firmly reject its existence.
Instead, this is a group of stories about Conrad and Nic surviving and thriving. They deserve to enjoy their long, happy marriage with their daughter(s) in peace <3

When Nick sees him smile, he starts to really look at him, matching his grin right back at him, “Hi. You look really nice today.” His boyfriend’s voice softer than just a moment ago, his hand briefly coming up to twist one of the curls in Charlie’s hair.
Charlie fights the urge to look away and die on the spot, wills himself the words to face the boy’s freckles and smile, and says, “Hi. You look…sweaty.”
Nick laughs brightly, “I’m sure I do!” He looks to the sky as if he needs a few prayers answered rather dramatically, then meets his eyes again, soft smile still in place, “How much time do we have?”
Charlie casts a side glance at his friends, just as Tao says, “8 whole sickening minutes that I will not be present for.”
