Being queer himself, L knew what to look for but he found Light and his monitored life without a trace of hidden passion. Whatever desires existed for Light were wrapped up, unexplored, repressed as all the best urges unfortunately were. So L returned again to the main question – what did Light Yagami want in a lover?"
(While monitoring the Yagami family home for suspicious activity, L catches Light getting off to a dirty magazine and projects what he thinks his main suspect's fantasies might be.)

when Light’s family finds out he’s Kira, they perform a ritual killing to purify the demon from his body. Light’s final thoughts are a plea to make a deal with whatever’s listening so he can come back to life and finish his work as Kira. Good thing a certain demon is always listening for virgin sacrifices and it just so happens Light’s been too busy to, well, get busy. But will Light be able to pay the demon’s big price to get back in the mortal world?

Light is 95% certain he is Kira and, if that's the case, he needs to reclaim his memories, his power and kill L. It's the only way to survive. But that's going to be a little complicated handcuffed to the world's greatest detective. Things get petty, then elaborate, and before long he's starting to wonder if he wants L dead half as much as he needs him dead.

It's a strange thing--to wake up in a place you don't recognise in a city you've never seen; but that's the least of Light Yagami's problems, especially when compared to the prospect of serving the time--and potentially being executed--for a crime he doesn't remember committing. And then there's L.
