In which Marinette's gender is different, which changes nothing and everything at the same time.
Because of his strict upbringing, Adrien never even considered if he was bi--that is, until a boy in shining red-and-black spandex worms his way into his little kitty heart. It takes him awhile to admit it to himself, never mind his superhero partner or anyone else. Plagg is frustrated.
Marin is just trying to survive being a closeted gay teenager in middle school. He didn't ask for this superhero nonsense, and he definitely didn't ask to lose his capability of speech every time he lays eyes on Adrien Agreste.

“Izuku Midoriya what on earth do you think you’re doing!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, ma’am! I’m just your friendly neighborhood—shit.” He winces when the stab wound they both seem to have forgotten about gets jostled as he tries to run away. Inko grabs his arm in a way that makes him feel like a five year old again.
“Izuku, I swear, if you don’t take off that mask right now I’ll ground you from all vigilante activity for a month.”
She takes off her sweater and presses it to her son’s stab wound. Izuku rips off his mask to reveal an incredulous expression.
“What? You’re not gonna try to stop me?” he asks in slack-jawed amazement.
