Summary
And Gideon is tipsy enough for that idea to be pretty damn tempting. She’s still half-sure that Ianthe is just fucking with her—but then she sends her address, and Gideon’s traitorous heart skips a beat as she connects two and two and comes up with four. Ianthe is being serious, and Ianthe is propositioning her with drinks and weed, which means that Ianthe wants her.

Summary
Gideon had insisted on Harrow’s body remaining fully clothed, a pretense so absurd in light of the situation that Ianthe had struggled to suppress a laughing fit when Gideon first said it. But Ianthe had (mostly) been circumspect with her amusement, and later, when Harrow - no, correction, when Gideon was stumbling over her tongue, saying (in that voice with such a familiar timbre but completely unfamiliar heat) “please,” and “god,” and “I need-,” Ianthe had simply slipped the loose black trousers down around Harrow’s bony knees and let Gideon keep her tunic and robe. Ianthe is, above all things, self-possessed; she isn’t about to lose her hold on the chivalrous little cavalier now by tightening her grip too hastily. After all, without Gideon to toy with, how else is she supposed to pass the time on this lonely cruiser limping along through an even lonelier corner of space?
This work can be read as a stand alone, but is a sequel to: first in the series

The first time that Ianthe sees Harrowhark Nonagesimus, Reverend Daughter of Drearburh and Heir to the House of Ninth, she seems like an unremarkable little twit with some idiotic face paint.

Summary
One night, circa chapters 27 & 29 of HtN, a very tired Harrow lets the facade slip for only a mere moment, but it's enough of an opening for Ianthe to... accidentally start an awkward, oddly heartfelt conversation that magnetically draws them into physical intimacy? Huh, didn't see that one coming.
---
Drifting in and out of sleep on her side, Harrow blearily noted that a cold hand had perched gently against her back and was rubbing her scapulae in reassuring circles. Her hazy concern turned to hazier alarm when another, warmer hand bluntly pressed its mass to her neck, then another to her waist, and yet another all the way down by her foot, and now she was startled fully awake, crying out in fearful confusion as she sat bolt upright and realized-
"Ugh. Ianthe, you're insufferable."
The recipient of the barb giggled with delight and sat up with a complete lack of urgency, withdrawing her right arm and dismissing the floating pack of hand-shaped masses of fatty tissue into a hot, viscous vapor - typical Third nonsense.
"No need to frown, Harry. You can just admit it was funny."

Summary
When Ianthe Tridentarius said she was going to marry Harrowhark Nonagesimus, this wasn't quite how she'd imagined it. Having Harrow in her bed - yes, of course - but not so far away from her, not so silent, and most of all not that Harrow.
Because, even that idiotic little zombie that had been her cavalier, even someone with half a good eye and a brain half as small as Babs’s, could tell that the Reverend Daughter and Harrowhark the First were nothing alike. The only thing they had in common was - sadly - that they both despised her, and, even more sadly, that they were both appealing enough to Ianthe’s eye to make her want them. Want her. Whatever. In which Harrow gives in to Ianthe's attentions.
