Summary
[Frankly, Mai should be at Azula’s side right now. Lurching over the princess’s shoulder or something, the flat intimidation to back up Azula’s crafty smirk, and Ty Lee’s bright, unnerving grin loses half its effectiveness without Mai’s unflinching expression to back it up. It’s a pastime, scaring people, or at least it is when they do it.
But ships are boring and intimidation’s only fun if her heart’s in it, and there’s something that might be, should be, infinitely more interesting lurking below deck instead].

Summary
[“How do you deal with grief?” Sokka asks, and the silence breaks. A fragile sort of thing across his knee, and it never really had a chance. Sokka is, after all, a man of many, many words.
Zuko shoots him a look. A quick one, a flash of gold against the dim lights, the sand a dark mess and the sea glinting silver in Yue’s light.
“You’re asking me,” he says eventually, his voice flat. Or maybe just dubious. It’s hard to tell.
Sokka shrugs. “You’re here, aren’t you? Why not you?”]

.
Or: Sokka and Zuko, on the porch of the Fire Lord's beach house, bond over their dead mothers.

Summary
“I seriously have no idea how Zuko has gotten this good at making tea,” Sokka says, taking a sip of his. He doesn’t even particularly like tea, but Zuko’s is great. Definitely an improvement from the Western Air Temple. They’re in Iroh’s tea shop, because it was there and they had some time to kill.
“Takes after his uncle, I guess,” Toph says, and Ty Lee laughs on the other side of the table. “What’s so funny?”
“Well, you know,” Ty Lee says with another bright little laugh, waving them off.

Summary
All Zuko had been trying to do was wash some dishes. Or: The one where Zuko and Katara both mean well, but still can't find their footing around each other in time to prevent explosive shouting, broken dishes, an impromptu arrest, and Team Avatar's third- nay, fourth jailbreak. Fifth? They've lost count at this point, but at least they're not willing to lose Zuko... now, if only he realized that.

Summary
The point is, the deck is all icy and it’s not his fault—he’s trying to actually keep some semblance of a training regimen up out here even if the rest of the crew is hibernating for the winter. He hasn’t even really started yet, taking a few moments to breathe some warmth into his hands, get his fingers working a little better.
Uncle has always complained about him standing too close to the edge.
