  1. Summary

Daisy Johnson has a soulmate. He's cruel, vicious, possessive. He has more blood on his hands than she dares to imagine. He is not soft, rarely gentle, but he loves her enough to burn the world down for her. And that's enough, isn't it?
Victor Creed has a soulmate. She is soft spoken, quiet, calm. She does not hesitant to attack, to defend herself by striking first. Her size hides a woman powerful enough to ground him. She would turn the world to rubble if he needed it. That's enough for him.

“If a coin comes down heads, that means that the possibility of its coming down tails has collapsed. Until that moment the two possibilities were equal.
But on another world, it does come down tails. And when that happens, the two worlds split apart.” - Philip Pullman

    Summary

Steve Rogers doesn’t meet Bucky Barnes in the 1930’s. Instead, Steve meets him April 17th, 2012.

    Well…sort of meets him.

In actuality, Bucky had almost hit him with his truck.

Or: The fic where millennial Bucky Barnes nearly runs over a freshly thawed national treasure, and what Steve Rogers did to adjust to modern NYC during those two weeks before the events of The Avengers.

    Summary

“It hurts most the first time, but you get used to it,” Bucky whispered. Steve jerked at the sound; it was Brooklyn, it was 1939, it was Bucky. “Bucky!” he tried to scream through the gag, fresh tears coming down his face. “You’re strong though. You’ll make a good asset. I’ll show you.”
“He’s secure,” Bucky said, voice toneless and mechanic once more
The chair lowered and Steve was screaming through the gag, still thrashing against the restraints even harder. Something lowered over his head and pressed against his face. He could not even jerk his face away, he was held too tightly. He met Bucky’s eyes; desperate, terrified as he tried to tell Bucky everything, tried to convince Bucky to stop this through eye contact alone.
The machine revved up under the chair. Bucky smiled down at him. Then all Steve knew was pain before darkness finally took hold of him. The last thing he saw was Bucky smiling. He looked the same.

    Summary

"I sleep like shit with someone else in the bed," Rumlow told him, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.

"Oh, I'll take the sofa," Steve said, breathing hard.

"Nah, I'll just sleep like shit," Rumlow shrugged, smiling.

    Summary

When Sam's friend needs a house-sitter for his place in the country, Steve jumps at the chance. Six months rent-free to do nothing but draw and paint and wander the countryside, looking for inspiration? It was like a dream. But when he gets lost in a storm and nearly falls into a pond he starts to rethink the whole like a dream aspect of life in the country. And when a red-eyed, sharp-clawed, silver-fanged creature rises out of the darkness, Steve is one hundred percent certain the dream's morphed into a nightmare.

...until it gives him a cup of tea.

(Inspired partly by this prompt a supernatural creature is supposed to scare you but instead it gives you a cup of tea and a blanket because you're having a bad day and you keep coming back and partly by this painting.)
