“Thank you,” he says, taking the flowers, fingers brushing the soft smooth hand of the younger for a brief moment. “Do you want to get dinner after I’m done locking up?”
“Like… a date?” Donghae sounds hopeful, and Jongwoon can’t believe that he’s really here, asking him that, and he lets out a chuckle if only to release some of the overwhelming happiness bubbling up in his chest.
“Yes, Donghae-ah, like a date.” And Donghae beams, his smile as bright as the moon shining in the night sky, and Jongwoon knows he won’t be able to resist the urge to lean down, take Donghae’s face in his hands and kiss his pretty pink lips.
So he doesn’t.

“Hyukjae, look at me.” It was an order, but said so quietly, so delicately, it was almost comforting. “Hyukjae, please.” He pleads with his voice as soft as ever, placing his hand gently on Hyukjae’s back, his thumb softly caressing it, as he tries to relay to him that it’s all okay. Hyukjae could honestly stay like this forever. It wasn’t always that he gets to be on the receiving end of Yesung’s more sweet, affectionate side, but that was mostly his fault since he rarely ever gives the chance for Yesung to be like this with him. But it never fails to make him completely weak in the knees. There was something so consoling and so reassuring about it that he could say that even if he was having the worst day, if this voice tells him everything’s gonna be okay, then everything will be okay.

"I don't mind your jealousy, it's cute really, but be more mindful of how you act on it," he caressed Hyukjae's nape and the younger man closed his eyes, relishing in the touch. Jongwoon smiled as he watched his boyfriend's tension melting away by his touch.
