  1. Summary

Fragments from a prospective series, where things derail during Age of Ultron and slowly zoom out to show AU facets of the world.

That is: After the Battle on Titan goes worse, an attempt by Strange and Vision to send Tony Stark back in time - using the Mind and Time Stones - is interrupted by Thanos claiming the stones in question. As Tony wakes in the past, right before trying to use Ultron's Cradle-Body to create Vision, he finds not everything is exactly as he remembered...

My plan leaves Tony accidentally falling into a world ever-so-slightly different, a Earth-199998 of sorts, tying together some of the similar worldbuilding details found in canon (such as the implications and potential of K'un-Lun and Kamar-Taj knowing of one another), bring in some figures from comics that MCU hasn't hit yet (such as the Fantastic Four, or leaving Johnny Blaze a relevant figure in his own right), and altogether keep this Earth on the road of things slowly but steadily getting weirder since Tony declared himself to be Iron Man in front of a room of reporters, and in ways that it didn't in his first time through the post-Ultron world.

  2. Summary

Smaller snippets, fragments, and sections of larger stories. Some, I have no plans on expanding and these fragments are the only window into their respective worlds; others are posted as I can motivate myself to write them, in hopes it prompts me to write the larger works they come from.

    Summary

"Hello, Chris," sings a honeyed voice from behind.

Chris' attention snaps toward the intruder, his gun already out of its' holster and aimed at whoever it is — a boy, apparently, with braided russet hair, a red jacket, and wise eyes. He's wearing a gas mask, but Chris can tell by the way his eyes crinkle around the edges, the way sun-burnt sand swirls in his irises, that he's smiling.

    Chris cocks his gun.

"You killed my father," he says.

"No offence, but he totally deserved it," the stranger agrees with cheerful solemnity.

"What the hell are you doing in my home?" Chris demands. The kid is perched on a windowsill in Chris' office, as nonchalantly as if this were something he did every day, as if they were familiar.

"I was just wondering," the kid speaks softly, fond amusement sewn through with a peculiar resignation, "how you'd feel about putting down some nazis?"

    Summary

Sorting Hat Chats Sorts things two ways:
Primary Houses are WHY a character does things.
Secondary Houses are HOW a character does things.

This system and the analysis contained within these transcripts are all about morals & methods-- and the places those two things intersect. It's a way to look at conflict, change, communication, and collusion in fiction and it's a whole lot of fun.

    Summary

What if Voldemort went after Harry and Neville, and gave no one a chance to die for them? What if both Chosen Ones died as children?
    --
There was no prophesied boy, but there was still this--dozens of shadowed young faces refusing to run, even at the very end of the world. Dumbledore looked out at his chess pieces, pawns and queens; his children and his friends; his collateral damage. He had the beginnings of a plan swelling in his chest.

It would take them decades to get their hands, quietly, on every Horcrux. Tom Riddle had to think they were secret. He had to think he was safe. It would take them almost decades, but one day he would be mortal again.

These dozens of faces--they were mortal now. Alastor Moody could feel mortality in the aches of old broken bones; Andromeda rewrote her own last name. Remus and Sirius felt empty, gaping holes in the seats around them, and they made crude, expansive, joyous toasts to friends' memories.

When Molly first reached over and held Arthur's hand, they knew this was something that could not last. That was why they held hands, held on, held tight.

    Summary

“Where are we?” Izuku asks, throat tight.

    Aizawa glances at him. “UA.”

Izuku stops. He looks back down at the forest-green suit and the cape fastened around his neck, and swallows, barely daring to believe it. “And I’m...”

“You’re a third-year student here,” Aizawa says without inflection, like he’s not completely shattering Izuku’s world-view. “In the hero course.”

Or: After a training accident, Izuku forgets everything that happened after his second year of middle school.
