Summary
Louisiana took some adjusting to. Most of all the weather. You were used to having full seasons, hot summers and ice cold winters. But in Ambrose winter was a lot milder. Yes it got cool, the air often made it feel colder than it actually was, and there were the cold snaps that randomly gave you a few days of freezing temps before jumping back up.
But it didn’t feel like the winters you were familiar with.
After living with the Sinclair’s for a few years now, part of you had found new comfort in this version of winter. One way you made it feel more like winter was baking. Nothing signalled to your body that it was winter better than freshly baked cookies and confections.
