He’s surprised he made it this far into the school year without Bakugou teasing him. “If his own father didn’t want a son like Deku, then I doubt All Might would.” Izuku’s eyes widened.
‘No...Kacchan they can’t know!’
“What? What are you talking about Bakugou?”
‘Don’t…’ Nobody noticed how Izuku trembled slightly. All focus was on Bakugou. Everyone looked at him with confused stares.
“Stupid Deku’s father left him, probably didn’t want to deal with a quirkless crybaby push over.”
‘I know it’s my fault he left...but they don’t need to know…’
“I would’ve left him too, but that nerd kept following me around like a damn lost puppy. It was annoying as hell.”

Midoriya was shaking in his seat. All might believed in him. Maybe he really could do this. Maybe he could be a hero. And yet…
There was no way Midoriya could pass a test meant for flashy hero quirks. It was like a race through a pitch black cave without a light while everyone else had industrial grade spotlights.
