Summary

Summary
Written for the Advent Calendar, here’s a series of one-shots with Dean and Castiel from Gods Damned Cat. You might be able to read this on its own, but I recommend reading GDC first so you know who’s who and all that.
This is set two years after we left them hugging in the kitchen. They have moved into a new house that is theirs together instead of trying to pick one house or the other. Fury is about 2 1/2 years old at this point.

Summary
A pack broken. A pup in danger. A omega who will fight with his last breath.
Castiel Novak didn’t know his stroll in the woods is going to start with dragging his best friend out to take pictures and end with him the new Alpha of the Smokey Mountains Pack. A very traumatized pack, and those are only the shifters he can see. Too many are missing, hiding in the woods or worse.
His wolf doesn’t care. He has a pack. One with a red-furred friend he thought he lost long ago, a ten-year-old girl who smells like wolf right up until she shifts, and a brave man with green eyes and serious trust problems who defended a pup with nothing more than a tree branch and sheer guts.
The walk ahead won’t be easy, but he has a list.
Chase out the abusive Alpha.
Call Mom.
Deal with the evil still stalking the woods.

That’s how it starts.
Or maybe it started a couple of months ago, when a Novak stray wandered into camp with a head full of strange ideas. But Alpha John Winchester saw potential there, a glimmer of something like hope… he let the omega stay. If that hadn’t happened, the couch wouldn’t have said “Hey!”
Though of course none of this would have happened if a bunch of loons hadn’t released the genoforming virus upon mankind a century ago, turning the survivors into this strange new species with an aberrant biology-...
… You know what? Let’s keep it simple and start with the couch.

Summary
On the day of his 29th birthday, Dean receives an email from his old nemesis: Michael Milton, the guy who got him kicked out of college and stole his girlfriend. The email contains encoded images with top secret CIA/NSA intelligence – and now their only copy is in Dean’s brain. Both agencies send their best operatives – Castiel Novak and Victor Henriksen respectively – to handle their accidental asset and protect the invaluable data in his head. To justify their sudden appearance in Dean’s life, they adopt covers: Victor as Dean’s new co-worker and neighbor, Cas as his new boyfriend. ARTEMIS was exactly that for DARPA, the research and developmental branch of the U.S. Department of Defense. The team was made up of ex-Special Forces soldiers who had unparalleled intelligence, to also specialise in various relevant areas of science. Essentially, a team of killer scientists.
Dr. and Commander Dean Winchester had been selected especially for this mission.
