If Bucky Barnes had had a better sense of humor, he might have recognized that there was something ironic about how he’d gone from a feared ex-assassin — the stuff of literal nightmares, a brutal and merciless killer — to what is colloquially referred to as a ‘totally whipped boyfriend.’

Inside Bucky live two truths that fight like wolves. Vicious. Powerful. And altogether urgent.
The first is this: he loves Sam Wilson. He loves Sam Wilson in a way that scares him sometimes, and he hopes it never scares Sam. He loves Sam Wilson to the point that he’s certain he will die for him someday and the thought of that fills him with such peace even though he knows he can never tell him. And he loves Sam Wilson so much that he’s going to fight like hell to live forever.
The second is this: he hates the Captain America Phone. Holy fucking shit, does he hate the Captain America Phone.
