    Summary

This series started from a simple idea that has become a popular theme since the release of the new Fantastic Beasts film.
Specifically, what if the Dursleys' abuse (which everyone agrees is canon, at least to some extent) led to Harry becoming an Obscurial. Given that jumping off point, I decided to explore the consequences of this notion. In this case, things kick off well before Harry reaches Hogwarts age with the emergence of the Obscurus in Part 1.

Part 1: Unexpected Consequences is complete. It covers Harry and Sirius' initial reunion in 1985.

Part 2: A Tale of Two Letters is complete. It takes place six year later, in the summer of 1991, and covers the Hogwarts invitations and the realizations that come in the aftermath of those letters' delivery.

Part 3: Irregular Homecomings is complete. It takes place starting in the summer of 1994, and is the events of Goblet of Fire in this universe.

Part 4: Appendices are reference notes for the series. Each chapter is independent, and chapters are posting periodically.

    Summary

A cross between a bunny farm escapee and an ear worm (is there such a thing as an idea worm?), this plotline has been haunting my muses for weeks:

Given a startling number of similarities in their backgrounds (troubled mothers, absentee / neglectful fathers, being strung up on flagpoles, disillusionment and inability to fit in with early and middle school schoolmates, a propensity to being kidnapped and life threatening situations, and on the job exposure to weaponized versions of plague and anthrax - to name a few), what if Tony DiNozzo and Spencer Reid were meant for each other, but not in the way that most of their colleagues would expect given their stereotypical jock and genius profiles.

What if Spencer has a hidden wealth of confidence and skill that his colleagues occasionally witness but only in glimpses (like the shot at the end to the LDSK case)? What if the glimpses seen of Tony's vulnerabilities, empathy, and intuition were more inherent and not just peaking out around the edges?

What if Spencer is Tony's bamf sentinel and Tony is Spencer's empathic (and emotionally fluent (?) at some future point) spirit guide?

    Summary

Sometimes Death gets bored, and sometimes Fates plans get crossed. Sometimes they make a deal, and this time, it includes Hadrian Potter-Black.
He grows up with Death as a mentor and a few years before Hogwarts he meets Regulus Black, who becomes kind of a big brother. These two change his future drastically, which results in neither being the Lights Golden Boy, nor handing Voldemort the war on a silver platter.
Hadrian is his own party, acquiring his own circle of friends and followers, crossing the plans of both Dumbledore and Voldemort and changing the fate of the wizarding world.
