“At least your puppies knock first,” Stiles snorts. “Here I thought their alpha raised them to be well-mannered.”
“There’s a sign,” Derek responds stiffly.
Stiles, whose curiosity outweighs even his hardest of grudges, abandons his chilly façade of nonchalance in a heartbeat. He jumps right up and all but pushes Derek out of the way in his effort to get to the window, and sure enough when he leans outside there’s a laminated strip of cardstock duct taped to the vinyl siding:
DON’T FORGET TO KNOCK Stiles gets cranky when we scare him

By twenty-eight, Stiles has resigned himself to a quiet life of working in his magic shop, selling Jackson Whittemore fart-inducing tea, and looking after his goddaughter. It's a good life. But the quiet goes to hell when his sister, Lydia, shows up with a crispy werewolf in her trunk and a bite mark on her shoulder, because hard on her heels comes the hottest person Stiles has ever seen, and he happens to be looking for his uncle.
You know, the dead guy Stiles helped Lydia bury last night.
(Or: the Pracitical Magic AU nobody asked for.)
Stiles scrolls up on his text message history and sure enough finds "I'm OK, don't worry, I'm going back to the hotel room" with a timestamp of 1:30AM and "I think I'm in love I think he's a werewolf" at 3:00AM.
Stiles stares at his phone for a while in horror.
Scott: HEY LYDIA WANTS TO KNOW WHY YOU CHANGED YR FACEBOOK STATUS TO MARRIED

“You’re a witch, aren’t you?” she asked when Steve finally left them in the living room alone one evening.
Peter was always a bit, some would say, odd. Though he was different, no one could tell exactly how. Sure, he looked like any other teen in his class, but his aurora was different.
So when Peter was introduced to the Rogue Avengers (who so happened to be pardoned and shipped off to the Compound), Wanda noticed this straight away. She felt drawn to him -- like it was her duty to protect him. So she did.
Wanda Maximoff never quite figured out where this preventative attitude came from, but she had a good guess that when Pietro passed, the hole in her heart throbbed for someone to fill it again. That so happened to be Peter. (It also didn’t help that he was a Wiccan like her.)
