Soon it becomes clear that Jared Padalecki, former star detective with NYPD, is what the initials stand for. Padalecki, however, left NYPD eighteen months prior, after his sister fell victim to the Venus Killer, and has no intention of ever coming back to the game.

Relocated to Boston, Jensen has partnered with ex-FBI Profiler and former LAPD detective Misha Collins, thousands of miles from where he avenged the man he loves more than life itself. Life is good, but he knows there are issues both he and Jared need to face before their relationship can progress further.
Just when things are looking up, FBI Profiler, Samantha Smith shows up on Jensen’s doorstep with a proposition. A serial killer dubbed the Hunter by the media is stalking the streets of Boston and she believes he along with Jared can help catch the bastard before he kills again. One problem though—she and Misha were partners years before in the BSU. He tells Jensen she can’t be trusted and she doesn’t want Misha too involved.
Jensen wants no part of what Agent Smith is selling, but the Hunter has other plans...
