    Summary

The grey loth-cat with the bright brown eyes and the little kink in its tail had followed Ezra around for a long time. The creature had only been a kitten when Ezra first saw it, aged three and playing outside his front door whilst his father fixed his tricycle. He had dropped the stick he was using to draw in the dirt path, the branch rolling away, too far for the little boy to run and grab it. Ezra, had been about to cry when the loth-cat came plodding over with the stick in its mouth. It placed it at his feet, meowing once before it pranced away. Ever since, Ezra couldn’t remember a time when the loth-cat hadn’t been somewhere in his life.
    ----
After a battle leaves Ezra in the medical wing, Kanan finds comfort in the form of a loth-cat that refuses to leave Ezra alone.

“Really, ‘Bean?” He exclaimed, hands on his hips as the artist kept laughing, “what if he had dragged me in there!”
“Oh, calm down, Ez,” Sabine replied, punching his shoulder, “you’re way too chicken to get a tattoo.”
“Too chicken, huh?” Sabine froze at the sound of Ezra’s tone. She knew what that meant, and she knew it would end badly. It was the same tone that had convinced the artist it was a good idea for them to paint that damn TIE fighter. Ezra had begun smirking, hand stroking his chin. Sabine’s mind went from fear to worry, but when the jedi raised a single eyebrow her way, she filled up with glee.

“Let’s take a quick break; perhaps after something to eat, we could convince the troops to play some Padawan Tag,” Sasha nodded enthusiastically at his master’s idea, clipping his lightsaber back onto his belt. He kept looking up at Master Ayman until the doors opened, but when he turned his head he came face to face with the barrel of a blaster. A lightsaber ignited as shots rang out, a flash of light flew just over Sasha’s shoulder close enough to leave a slash of searing pain on his neck as he was thrown backwards by the force of the blast.
    “Run, Sasha!”

Kallus had run from his past, but he couldn't hide from it anymore.

    Summary

“I have something for you, Padawan,” Master Billaba said. She placed her datapad down on the small table next to the bunk, retrieving a rolled up piece of fabric tied with a strip of ribbon from where it sat. She began to untie the ribbon, and Caleb - ever the inquisitive one - leaned forwards to peer at the strange item. The anxiety he had felt seemed to take a step back as the curiosity overtook his mind. Master Billaba unrolled the fabric on her lap.

Inside lay a thin black cord, ends clipped together by a simple magnetic clasp like one found on a necklace or bracelet. Six beads sat on the cord in a specific order: Pale Blue, Green, Yellow, Brown, Green, Pale Blue.

Caleb recognised the beads. They were padawan beads.
