Summary
The Guardian knew very well what would happen to Glint if word got out that they told Crow about their connection to his past, they couldn’t stop thinking about it each time they saw Spider’s ugly mug, each time they heard his voice echoing across the Shore. But there was just something about the young Awoken that made it so easy to open up about their fears and past, it made them want to tell him about their wrongdoings and flaws… and that’s what terrified them.
They were responsible for the end of Crow’s first life, the life that brought him so much torment and pain in his second. Who was to say he wouldn’t blame them for his suffering as well?

Summary
Crow was the only person they’d met that didn’t treat them like some sort of savior… even if it was only because he didn’t know who they truly were yet. To him, they were a companion… and equal.
“I can almost hear you thinking, Guardian,” the man said, his soft voice drawing them out of their thoughts.
The Guardian looked up to find Crow staring at them, smiling.
How long had he just been sitting there looking at them?
“I confided my dreams to you, and you helped me discover their meaning. If you’ll allow me, I’d like to return the favor,”.

Summary
The figure as it turned out, was an Exo, sterling white with orange markings covering half of its face. It yelled back in surprise upon seeing them and tried to scramble away from the gun, “Don’t shoot!” it yelped in a strangely familiar voice, “It’s me! It’s me, Guardian! Don’t shoot!”.
The Guardian blinked, aim faltering slightly.
“Please… just put the gun down. It’s okay, you’re safe here, I promise,” it pleaded.
They didn’t move, too bewildered and confused to do much else but stare back into its bright blue eyes, but after a moment, they obeyed.

At first, he thought taking this summer job would be fun, an escape from his shitty life… the idea of spending the entire summer watching for fires that were likely never to happen was appealing, but an hour and a half into the hike, Elliott began to regret his decision.
He was exhausted, drenched in sweat, and felt like his legs were going to give if he took another step forward… and he was nowhere near his destination. According to the trail-marker he passed about a mile back, there was still a day and a half’s worth of walking before he even reached the Two Fork Tower.
