a hunter walks into a bar
a hunter goes for a jog in the park
a hunter tries chilling out at a coffee shop
a hunter goes a fancy party and gets lowkey kidnapped but in a cool and hip way
you're pretty sure that this is a running joke, and that you're the butt of it
unfortunately the punchline's gearing up to be much, much, worse

In which Equius and Eridan cross paths as adults. For now, mostly involves Equius being dismayed by life in the Alternian colonies. Though really just in this one in particular.
Tarvek wakes up on Castle Wulfenbach. Gil's waiting for him. Or at least, someone wearing Gil's skin.
“There’s something very wrong with Gil,” Tarvek tells his ceiling, settling back against the pillows. One of the panels near the door has come loose, hinting coyly at its hissing copper guts. “Something he doesn’t want to tell me about. And who's a half-dead former prince to ask when he’s trapped on his enemy’s ship and his enemy won’t talk?”
Gil tries to fix everything. Tarvek tries to found a major civic institution. Agatha tries to get Mechanicsburg running smoothly. Everybody tries to drink too much coffee.
And in the middle of that, Gil and Tarvek work on trusting each other again.
An alternate universe: what if Tarvek had never met Tinka? Things go very differently at Sturmhalten, and Vrin has to modify her plot.
