The young man smiled brightly again, turning to face him slightly as they walked outside. “M’name’s Eggsy. Eggsy Unwin.”
Harry suddenly stopped in his tracks. He knew that name.
Eggsy turned to face him expectantly once he’d realised the other was no longer walking next to him.
“I think you knew me dad, righ’?”
Eggsy never joined Kingsman. Instead, he finished his Marines training and was recruited by MI6. Harry and Eggsy meet for the first time in over seventeen years at Imperial College.
First rule of action movie logic; check the body. Because if you don’t check the body to make sure they’re really dead, then the rules of movie logic says you deserve the knife that ends up in your back when you turn around. A villain who was a little less squeamish of blood would have known that.
Valentine doesn’t check the body, and Harry lives. This, perhaps unsurprisingly, creates a whole new set of problems for Eggsy, whose got a few…ungentleman-like urges when it comes to his mentor. Or, the one where Eggsy doesn’t get to watch Pretty Woman until after he realizes he’s living it. Harry/Eggsy, Movie Fix-it.

"Harry," Eggsy said one day, while Harry was deep in a report about weapons smuggling in Ukraine. "I really fancy you."
"Mmm-hmm," Harry responded, flipping to another chapter about airline safety standards in Indonesia.
"If I had to say it," Eggsy mused, slightly put out, "I would, in fact, say that I am deeply, wildly, and madly in love with you."
"That's very good, Eggsy," Harry said absentmindedly, scrawling his signature at the bottom of the paper.
Eggsy sighed. "Sometimes, I might think you don't listen to a word I say."
