    Summary

Ah yes, the oh so common Joffrey self insert, such a simple thing. And yet no one has given it the thought that someone who has watched the show and read the books along with copious fanfics might try and hatch their own dragon with or without Targaryen blood.

And no one thinks to what happens when one self insert dies due to their god complex when the workings of fate aren't done with them. One may find themself in a perfect position, seemingly given the greatest power to a Mary Sue level, but someone just like them died to get there. They aren't immortal and they are very replaceble. Your temper and morality come into question when you realise that even as king you're nothing but a pawn. It's one thing to be a self insert, it's another to not be the first and to only be there because of the failure of your forebearer, the risk of failure being obvious and the reminder of it being your very existence.

    Summary

The Avatar. One of the greatest legends, recounted for centuries across Westeros and Essos. It is said the last Avatar died in the battle against the Others, before the Wall was even built. Ever since then, many await their return.

Of course, the maesters dismiss those stories. They always do. It is impossible to bend more than one element, they say. But how can they deny now that a bastard in the far North has bent ice and fire? And what threat prompted the Avatar's rebirth? Will he be enough to save the world from its doom?

As of chapter 37, 'Book One: Westeros' is finished. Chapter 38 opens 'Book Two: Essos'.

    Summary

"When I was a boy, I dreamt that I could fly. When I awoke, I couldn't... or so the maester said. But what if he lied?"
-- Euron Greyjoy, A Feast for Crows

A three-eyed crow appears in your dreams. It tells you wild tales of a great icy threat from the far north, and promises you some strange power--to be a 'greenseer'--to thwart them. You must. "Fly or die". Because winter is coming.

In our world, that crow flew to Bran Stark and, perhaps, to Euron Greyjoy. What if it flew to someone else?

"Sacrifice... is never easy. Or it is no true sacrifice."

The story of Stannis Crow's Eye begins.
