Saitama fights his last battle, or perhaps it's just another average day featuring a monumental struggle that doesn't register as a blip for Saitama. Either way, he suddenly finds himself in a chaotic world where nothing is cartoonish and the stakes are real, a world hoping for a hero to rise above playing an absurdly high-stakes game of cops and robbers. How would Saitama affect things in a world full of bizarre powers, hopelessness, and people who walk the line in their hearts between human and monster? Let's find out, together.

Some time ago when I started thinking about a Worm fic, I had three ideas that came to mind. One turned into Taylor Varga, which grew rather out of hand, although I regret nothing! One I did about eight chapters of, but shelved for the time being as it was rapidly turning into something ridiculously complicated. I may come back to it at some point in the future even so. I've lifted a few bits out of it for Taylor Varga, so it wasn't a waste of time.
The third idea was the one behind this beginning. Whether I'll go on with it at some point I don't know. I quite like the idea, but I haven't decided exactly how it would work, aside from it being an AU of Worm that breaks entirely with continuity some years before the start of canon. No Scion, that golden idiot makes the entire setting almost impossible to end properly without nearly everyone dying or a huge deus ex machina, so he snuffed it at the same time as Eden. Less powerful Endbringers, for the same reason, although still insanely powerful. Basically, tilting the field a little more towards sanity.
It would have been fairly dark even so, although not Worm dark. I didn't want to mow down entire worlds full of people...

Taylor Hebert seems to have died. It has yet to slow her down even a little.

Two realities a little to the left of Canon.
In one, a hero dies before he has a chance to even play his part.
In another, Zuko is struck by his sister's lightening on the Day of the Black Sun, and finds himself before the Spirits, who have an offer for him:
If he want's to see his own destiny through, first, he'll need to achieve the incomplete destiny of the Boy-Who-Lived.
Harry gives up on living the day before his Hogwarts Letter arrives, and his magic stops keeping him alive.
Scrambling to save the reality he's left behind, Destiny Repair brings in another gloomy 'hero' to play Harry Potter in his stead.
Armed with no script and only a vague idea of what's going on, Zuko does his best to not screw up.)
