Summary
Cornelia the Usurper notoriously scorned Prince Dimitri with her dying breath, saying House Blaiddyd’s demise was the work of a grand conspiracy in which the prince’s secret stepmother was a key player.
Prince Dimitri initially dismissed the claim as slander, for he could not divert his attention from the ongoing war. However, after House Blaiddyd’s heirloom ring was recovered in an abbey once owned by the Western Church, he decided to re-examine the Tragedy that destabilized the Kingdom.

Summary
“We’re both chasing ghosts, are we not?” said the delusional prince with a snide smile. “Your prince died in Duscur, and my beloved Felix never returned from the Battle of Avalon Hill.”
Felix shook at the sound of those words and he whirled around, kicking over the nearest church bench in rage. As he ran out of the cathedral, he heard the Boar laugh softly and cruelly twist the knife he’d plunged into the heart of the friend he once claimed to adore and love.
Once back in his room in the dormitory, Felix lifted his sword and gazed at his own reflection in the blade.
That bruised warrior was not the Prince’s beloved friend. The Prince’s beloved friend was as stern as he was kind—a light in the darkest of nights. He was the Prince’s protector and friend, his lifelong companion and the love of his life. The young swordsman before him was as cowardly as he was cruel—another dark cloud that blotted out the sun.

Summary
Glenn Fraldarius had never asked or wished for a younger sibling. The fact that the baby in his mother’s belly stole away his parents’ affections before it was even born had soured Glenn towards the idea of sharing his parents with another child.
He didn’t realize how much he wanted to be a big brother until the king placed the baby prince in his embrace. The dangerous frost that had began invading Glenn’s heart melted in the warmth of the little prince. And he would sit at Prince Dimitri’s crib and watch the infant babble and laugh, longing for the day his younger brother would be old enough to play with him.
But then came Felix—a boy frailer than glass, yet so strong that he shook Glenn's world with his arrival like a titan.

Summary
It is common knowledge that House Fraldarius has been loyal to House Blaiddyd since the Kingdom’s founding days. It is no surprise that the Saviour King and Duke Felix Fraldarius’s friendship began long before they were born.
In the year 1161, when the queen and the duchess became with children, the king and the duke came up with a plan to merge the Houses Blaiddyd and Fraldarius:
Would there be a little princess, she would wed the duke’s son. Is a young prince born to the world accompanied by a little duchess, two houses would unite all the same.
“And if fate decides to grants us both sons, Lambert?” said Duke Fraldarius.
“Then we raise them as brothers, like you and I were, Rodrigue,” replied the King.

Summary
Rodrigue Fraldarius had two sons.
The elder—the heir—was born healthy and strong. Talented with both with the sword and the magic arts, he became a knight at fifteen and was elevated to Royal Guard two years later. Like his father, he fought for his king and country and like a true Fraldarius, he lived and died for his liege.
The younger—the spare—was a boy so frail that he almost perished the day he was born. Yet, this once frail child was a lucky one. He would befriend the prince and earn the king’s affections. He would walk an arduous road and live a long and fruitful life. He would love and he would lose; he would see the joys and sorrows of life. He would carry on his family’s legacy and see the fruition of his friends’ and family’s labours.
