Summary

The course of your life has directed you away from these experiences until now. Summary
L's top four picks for his successor have been split into pairs dubbed the Wammy Teams. They take on assignments from L to prove who deserves to inherit his title, but not all of them have this goal in mind. After all, L has a pretty nasty habit of reforming criminals if they can be useful.
The Wammy Teams have been active for a few years now, each of them having developed their own specialties in their detective works. When Team Deneuve hits a snag in their case on Beyond Birthday's most recent murders, the newcomer, Bambi, is sent to aid them. Conflict arises when teams collide, ultimately throwing them into the fray of L's biggest case yet.
Even in Japan, Bambi is haunted by the man who once shared her letter. Her trauma leads her contemplate her already-gray perspective on morality and justice. Was Kira actually the heartless murderer that L portrays him as? Were her own crimes as justified as she once thought? She tries to distract herself by focusing on the case, but her slowly-growing attraction to her coworker just adds another issue she tries to avoid. Still, she can't hide from her problems forever. Bambi will have to look into herself and find her true answers to the questions she fears most.

Summary
This series is really a collection of two versions of what is essentially the same story. While some aspects remain the same, like the alternate universe nature, how they become involved in the Kira case, and the criminal history of the protagonist -- hence the title Robin Hood -- what keeps the stories so different are the personality and character arc of the protagonist. In The Fawn, the protagonist spends the story reevaluating her past, and romance follows more of a secondary plot. In Love and Obsession, the protagonist already regrets her past deeds, and the focus is on the romance and her self-forgiveness.
It is an experiment of sorts in the telling of the same basic story from two vastly different lenses, ultimately leading the plots in opposite directions. I hope that you'll give the stories a chance and enjoy them.

Only the most adorable, fluffy, Sidon-fic ever, and yet there is so much more to this story than a budding romance between the Zora prince and the reader. Aside from the fantastic chemistry that these two have, the author has an intriguing story going on alongside it. The more you grow accustomed to the dynamics between the reader, Sidon, and other characters, the more the non-romance plot rears its head. And the two meld together in just the most perfect ways. Whenever you're starting to feel the slightest bit overwhelmed from the story (in a good way!- as the characters seem overwhelmed themselves), the author treats you to a lovely dose (or more) of character bonding, fluffy moments, and the two mains feeling out their own emotions. This story is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it.

So awesome! The reader is such a sassypants and is so done with everyone's shit – I love it! She's really cool despite having no superpowers and feels real in that she's developing like any other character would. Love the writing style on top of everything.
