Summary
Poetry fragments from the Journals of both the consulting detective Sherlock Holmes and that of his partner Doctor/Captain John Watson.
It may be believed that neither of these men were particularly poetical, and that is to a certain extent true. However, John Watson appears to have had a somewhat lyrical bent that he hid well, and it seems that this may have triggered a somewhat reciprocal tendency in his Holmes.
These poems have been removed from the context of the entries in which they were found, but some of the additional text may be rendered as we receive approval from their estate.

In a contemporary dystopia, Unity is peace--despite the fact unsanctioned information, illicit currency, and every sort of danger flows unchecked in the world's pleasure districts.John Watson, a weary hired gun, is assigned by the mysterious Mentor to investigate a subversive element lurking in the Icehouse, the world's most famous House of Repose. As accustomed as he is to dealing with the unexpected, John is nevertheless woefully unprepared to meet the gem of the Ice house, Xie, the world renowned "drashaskaya," the living work of art after which all other drashas are modeled.
In sumptuous suites, amid trailing puddles of silk and fervent whispers in the night, John soon learns that nothing is as it seems in the floating world of London's pleasure district.

His Dark Materials AU. John and his dæmon, Amarisa, have never quite fit in, largely because she settled as a wolfdog. Sherlock and Raniel are similarly isolated, mostly because the woman they call Mummy is a witch. These two men and their dæmons end up sharing a flat together and the rest, as they say, is history. And with a witch-clan out for John's blood and a man known as Moriarty emerging from the shadows, they're certainly not going to be bored.
