It's amazing, really, what people can overlook. Sometimes it takes a mad scientist with a body-swap gun to make people pay attention to something obvious.
Obviously, now that the Vongola Tenth Generation knows exactly what's going on with their Storm, Hayato isn't going to be allowed to escape medical attention anymore.
(Despite all the needless hysterics from... absolutely everyone he knows, at least Hayato managed to get laid thanks to the shenanigans.)

Wu Ming takes an unsteady step back, his eye unseeing, grits his teeth and hurtles himself backward over the edge without a second thought, head blissfully empty in that split moment.
It doesn’t last: The wind thunders in his ears, whipping his unkempt, loose hair all around him like frantically beating wings, and the growing pressure crushes his chest mercilessly. He desperately clings to that image of an altar amidst a sea of blood and fire, cradles it close and lets the reminder of resentment and rage anchor him as he braces for the pain.
There is none.
Instead of shattering into pieces in maddening agony, there are arms – one around his back, wedged between his elbow and side, and the other underneath his knees, keeping him together. His breath hitches in surprise and the energy coursing through him, both the frost and the slick warmth, flutters erratically.

When Wu Ming ascends and, on the verge of dispersion, tries to throw himself right back into Mount Tong'lu, someone unexpected catches him. Not that he minds, in hindsight. (Or: Wu Ming didn't expect someone else out there to be yearning like him.)
