In the aftermath of a terrible, no good, very bad day Izuku’s mother knows things can’t continue the way they are. Izuku needs to get away from a system indifferent to his struggles and from the presence of UA, physically and tortuously close but crushingly unobtainable. He needs a chance to recover from this latest, devastating blow or Inko fears she’ll lose him completely.
In desperation, she reaches out to the only family she really has left. Her mother had a sister who moved to China and married a man named Cheng. Their daughter, Inko’s cousin, moved from China to France years ago and married a baker there. They themselves had a daughter who was Izuku’s age. Hopefully that would be far enough.
Sabine’s daughter was Quirkless, like Izuku.
… that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have superpowers though.

When Izuki Midoriya takes on the slime villain to save Bakugou, she ends up badly injured and her dreams of becoming a Pro Hero, never likely, seem permanently out of reach for the broken body she inhabits now. But life has a way of handing out unexpected opportunities, even when things seem at their most hopeless.
She never needed a Quirk to be a hero. She just needed someone to believe in her.
OR: a Female Midoriya gets knocked down, gets back up and turns into Oracle (and a little bit of Ironheart)
To the hero or the civilian, all aftermaths look the same.

Here’s how they tell the story later in their lives. We came together because the Senior Abbot was an asshole.
All is as the Force wills it, Chirrut would intone to the ceremonial Rolling Of The Eyes performed by Grandmaster Eye-roller Baze. Even an asshole like him could perform a useful and vital function in the Force.
He really was an asshole.
Chirrut thanks the Force. Baze thanks whoever is listening.
Finch has more than one reason to be a private person; especially considering how New York treats it's Guides. He is a bird that flies under the radar...hell, he built the radar. But there is a Sentinel in New York just as invisible as him, who pings in all the right (and so very, very wrong) ways.
How can you hide from someone who can track you anywhere you go?
More than that, why would anyone not want to connect to the other half of their soul?
In which there are good guys, bad guys, we don't know which guys, sentient Machines, coming back from soul level devastation, falling in love despite everything, Finch being a genius but still a bit thick and Reese basically being the kind of man who thinks trussed up bad guys totally count as a dozen red roses and a bow.
