Summary
Julian and Garak's relationship is exposed to the DS9 community when Julian is accused of espionage simply for sleeping with "the enemy." His friends are stunned and many do not know how to accept the relationship or the accusations. During this personal strife an Obsidian order/ Dominion plot to get rid of Garak while also taking out as many Federation ships as possible unfolds.

“I, I, I want to take the roses back to my friend,” he babbles. “There was a question of my courage, and I mean, I’m not, I would rather be alive in the keep than dead out here, but I’m here now, and I want those roses. Whatever that takes.”
“Oh,” the faery purrs. He gives Barry a deliberate once-over before glancing up and meeting Barry’s eyes. “And what if I told you it only takes your name?”
“Uh.” Barry forgets everything that isn’t the faery’s eyes. He should give the faery his name. It’s such an easy request, and he has no reason to refuse. “It’s B…no.” He shakes his head to clear it and drops his eyes to the ground. “No, I can’t tell you, you’ll thrall me and spirit me away to the Otherworld.”
“Thrall you?” the faery chuckles. “You wouldn’t come with me willingly? I must be losing my touch.” Barry half-expects a befuddling caress, but the faery keeps his hands to himself. “Then tell me, little nameless one, has no one ever warned you to stay out of faery rings?”

Summary
Julian Bashir returns from the Dominion camp 371 but can't find his place. Not knowing how to belong, he begins to self-destruct. He turns to Elim Garak for help but Garak knows he is no one's savior and isn't sure why Bashir does not understand that.
Perhaps, though, they can teach each other what it means to come back home.
(I've rearranged this so all explicit material is crowded into the last chapter; you don't have to read it to finish the story, if smut isn't your thing. Without chapter ten, this is probably an M rating.)
